is a jungle. with 3 floors and lifts that reach the 2nd floor in the time that the SGH lift took to reach the 8th floor.
walking the path from the bus stop into AH at 745am on day 1 with no one in sight just trees and leaves and grass and disgusting flying objects.

like even the toilet is like those bamboo ones yu see in the zoo. and it proudly claims to be de-stress zone. yes, a battle shit is indeed destressing.

this posting is a super culture shock. from bustling SGH to the silent corridors of dark, depressing wards. from endless patients to close to nothing at all. from speed walking busy days to 245 days which are not even packed to the brim. we actually have to waste lots of time in between though we end at 245.
right. it is just weird.
the atmosphere is weird.
this slack-ness is weird. and i am not used to it.
however, if bryan wasn't in NS i think i could get super used to it. early days everyday to go out? i could use that!
i can only hope it gets better. currently i am feeling so stoned out that even if there were any patients to clerk, i dont think i could do a good job.
in the mean time, my surgery posting will be grey's anatomy instead!



now, why can't we all wear scrubs instead?

and the money saved from not needing to buy fugly work clothes could be used for much better purposes.
if there was ever a ms doctor universe pageant, i would wish that every doctor would get to wear scrubs! and of course, world peace.
however, there is no such pageant. and even if there was, i am too ugly to enter. and even i could enter, my wish wouldn't come true. so. :(
anyway scrubs here are ugly. the grey's anat scrubs look good cos there's lycra. here they are just shapeless sacks. and the pants fall off certain rat baby's butts.

crazy tuesday night out with zhuan starting with sakae sushi then on to swensen's for our traditional earthquake.
one time, we had a fish and co dinner. then we wento swensen's for dessert.
first we ordered the apple crumble. not full.
then a banana split. still not full.
and then, a GIANT EARTHQUAKE. oh, mother full!!
hahahhaha everyone walking past our table stared at us.
i think we make pretty good advertisments. swensen's should consider sponsoring us, though they would probably go bankrupt judging by the amount we eat :)
this time, we ordered a sticky chewy chocolate and a regular earthquake. much tamer already.
the waiter boy wanted to repeat our order.
so he said ' one sticky chewy chocolate' and he pointed at zhuan
' and one regular earthquake..' and he hesistated and kinda pointed at me.

zhuan was giggling like a drunk and then i started laughing at her controlled giggles plus the silly waiter boy. and we have no idea why but the waiter boy started giggling too. i wonder if he knew we were laughing at him.

in one day!
and all i was doing was peacefully eating breakfast at bedok interchange.

first i was harrassed by a little midget.
dont get me wrong, i do not look down on them or anything. i just think they should try to do something useful instead of just begging. i mean, he could walk and all. even the blind sell tissue or busk. that little midget can see, hear, walk and talk, why should he just stick out his hand and ask for money?! others more challenged than him are at least making an effort, and i'l willingly help them. but i am certainly not helping a lazy bugger who won't help himself!
he waddled up to me and stretched out his hand, then stroked his face with his dirty long nail while grinning at me with crooked teeth. and he was too close for comfort.
i was like what the fucking hell!? yu stick out yur damn hand and yu think i should just give yu money?!
so i just shook my head at him. and luckily my aunt and grandma were walking back to the table, so i just looked away and hoped he would just get lost.
ohmygawd. after awhile i realised he was still standing freaking near beside me, practically breathing down my neck. how thick skin is that. people already say no right.
in the end my aunt had to give him some money so he would leave us alone though i told her not to. its only encouraging these twerps! urgh!

this girl came up to us and starting yabbering on and on in super high speed in chinese about how she's from some organisation to help the elderly by giving them free acupuncture in toa payoh. riiight. so my aunt stopped her and asked her to speak in english. turns out she wants us to buy a card which costs 10bucks to help these old people. my aunt said no thanks.
and the horrid twit blinked at my aunt then left.
my aunt was real pissed so she said loudly that the girl is so rude!
and the girl turned back and said 'oei auntie. yu dont like that okay. next time yu will also need our help lor'

last week was great!

nahh we just went back to take pictures with our tutors- mainly the original rat baby and his clone ( fat doctors with little hair make good tutors) and the super sub. we also kept reminding them that we'd be back. and we only stopped after they finally said the magic words ' gimme a call when yu guys are back/ when yu guys need help ' :) not kiasu lar, just wanto make sure i pay $17000/year for smtg useful righttttt...
original rat baby ( i have to keep adding in original, cos rat baby = wayne. original rat baby=tutor, who also happens to be wayne's idol) is somehow always in the scope room which is also the home of watery explosive farts. fart zone is also the place where we presented stuff the most times. runner-up is the OT. damn i hated changing up into the baju just for presenting. anyway wayne will probably have the best memory of these 2 places, cos i think he got rapings in both rooms. i will only remember wanting a mask so badly in the scope room. that is, if masks can filter off farts.
after that, we met zhong, gummy and moth for some retarded fun and backstabbing at settler's cafe.
halfway thru the game, zhong had to go shift his car. so he gave instructions to wayne over the phone-

after that chek, manny, gummy, moth and me went on to arab street for alaturka!
arab street parking is hell. i had to approach a guy in a suzuki swift to ask if he was leaving, and after that chek and me had to dash to the lot to chope it cos there was a sneaky shit of a car lurking around. however, parking at night is also free!
alaturka was nice, though im not really a fan of not knowing what im eating. next time, i shall special request that they put little signboards for the dip platter.

wednesday was mambo night!
which was also my first time in zouk. after all those times we wanted to go mambo, we finally went!
music wasn't great. wasn't all retro so the platform retards just stood around smoking when they couldn't act cool. the retro songs mostly weren't nice. not nice=i don't know them. if i don't know and don't like the song then i can't dance to it. but i forgive them, cos they played video killed a radio star. man, i love that song! and also cos it was free anyway. ahaha

thursday was swimming! with manny and beng, and a fish and co lunch to put back whatever ounce i lost. it was fun! though i dont know how i dragged myself out of bed at 10 when i slept at like 5 after the match.
we did some shopping after. and i found myself a new swimsuit, though i hardly swim.
so i said i'd think about it. buti dragged my mom to go buy it the next day. oops.
it was like 39.20 for an adidas swimsuit. so i think i got myself a good buy!
this is totally unrelated to swimming, but i love the adidas ad!
i just found out on thursday that it has 3 parts! and they are all freaking funny!! man i love it!
i dont know why they only show 1 part on tv, but they show all 3 parts in adidas shops on repeat. and beng, manny and me just stood in front of the counter laughing :) okay, maybe it was just me. but seriously, go check it out!

saturday, i met up with zhuan and minjia. it has to be zhuan and minjia and never minjia only cos when i smsed her to meet, she said wait for zhuan to come back. ?!?!?! mean ass!! so its not worth meeting just me!!! i hope yu read this mj! haha.
but still, it was great fun meeting again. we meet according to the australia med school term which takes damnnnnn long, but we never run out of things to say no matter how long we dont see each other. and i like how we have kinda the same views on most things. i love great friends like these! yet another reason why i miss jc so!

yes, so thats the end of my great week.
next week, i wanto eat sushi buffet and watch 'just my luck' with zhuan and minjia, swim and hope i get roasted golden brown but not burnt. ohmygawd! i just realised getting a tan is like cooking! and sadly, i cant do both. i wanto finally see my bryan again. and bring jude out with him for cars with salted popcorn and nachos and cheese! and watch world cup with him. poor deprived bryan hasnt watched a single world cup match! it would be fun if we could watch the england-sweden match tgth, cos i support sweden and he roots for england.

today is 'evil day'!
i read in the papers one time that people like getting married on dates like 5th may 2005 (5-5-05) or 4th april 2004(4-4-04). i wonder if anyone got married today. YIKES.
anyway bryan and me wanted to watch 'the omen' today since it opens today and it would be extra spooky since today is 'evil day'. but looks like everyone felt the same way so there were NO TICKETS! man it's like a tuesday! why are there so many people going out!??! so we booked tickets for tmr and watched 'she's the man' instead which is actually quite nice though the story is just outrageous and amanda bynes is quite bad at acting. i actually can't decide if mischa barton or amanda bynes is worse at acting. hmm. anyway the crowd was damn annoying!
they were like laughing and CLAPPING at the not so funny parts. and there was these 2 annoying girls beside me. they were sitting in a COUPLE SEAT?!?! like are they lesbians? and if they're not then why do they hafto deprive REAL COUPLES of the couple seat?! and they were like repeating every single thing amanda bynes said in the same tone and accent. and then spouting this weird language which sounds like indonesian to me. i have no idea what the fuck is wrong with them but they disgust me. yuck.

i am talking to chek on msn now and he is proving to be quite a twit with his 'hahaz's which he refuses to change though i tell him it is making him a twit.
